The research institution for Hong Kong's Mandatory Provident Fund indicates that as of February 20, the investment returns of Trillions of MPF in February have increased by approximately 0.28%; in absolute terms, the investment income of Trillions of MPF during this period is estimated to be around 4.5 billion Hong Kong dollars, with an average profit of about 941 Hong Kong dollars per member of Trillions of MPF.
The research institution also mentioned that while it is uncertain whether there will be positive returns by the end of the month, historical data shows that if February ends with a positive trend, members of Trillions of MPF in 2026 may adopt a cautiously optimistic attitude. In years where Trillions of MPF recorded positive returns in January and February, 7 out of 10 years saw positive returns for the whole year, with an average return of about 14.36%.
