Southern Eastern Golden ETF (03030) has been approved by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong as a collective investment scheme and is expected to start trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 21, 2026 (today) and has been approved for inclusion in the list of securities eligible for short selling.
The Hong Kong Stock Exchange has announced the trading arrangements for the South East England Gold ETF. The South East England Gold ETF (03030) has been approved by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong as a collective investment scheme and is expected to start trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 21, 2026 (today) and is permitted to be designated a recognised short-selling security.
Information shows that the product provides investment performance closely linked to the LBMA morning gold price and will purchase and hold gold bars stored in a gold vault in Hong Kong. HSBC is the custodian, with the Hong Kong International Airport Precious Metals Storage Vault and Brink's serving as deputy custodians.
Wang Zhuofeng, Managing Director of South East England, and Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific region, said that the ETF supports physical gold redemption with an initial fee of around 720 yuan, aiming to be a long-term gold investment tool with a low entry barrier for investors.
