Global information company and Hong Kong credit information service agency TransUnion announced the appointment of Avishek Ghosh as Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) for the Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, Avishek will be responsible for leading data and analytics strategies in the region, overseeing the entire data value chain including data acquisition, analysis and model construction, as well as insights and quality improvement, to drive innovation and promote sustainable business growth. With over 17 years of global experience in the banking industry, Avishek has a deep international perspective having worked in Hong Kong, India, and the UK, as well as accumulating a wide range of cross-regional collaboration achievements in the Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and the Americas. Prior to joining TransUnion, he held the position of Senior Vice President at HSBC, leading unsecured credit business in nine markets in Asia. Avishek holds a Master's degree in Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata.
