Wellspring Fund: The sentiment of the A-share market has bottomed out. The recovery of both AI and non-AI technology industries continues to be a theme in Asia.
The economic targets announced during the Two Sessions in China roughly align with market expectations. Market sentiment has hit rock bottom and is gradually showing signs of a U-shaped recovery.
Huili Fund's Chief Investment Officer, Chung Wai Yan, stated that Chinese company profits are bottoming out and macroeconomic data is gradually improving. In addition, the economic targets announced during the Chinese two sessions roughly meet market expectations. Market sentiment has bottomed out and a U-shaped recovery is beginning to emerge. At the same time, strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and the continued recovery of non-AI technology industries remain prominent themes in Asia, especially in markets with a high concentration of technology industries such as South Korea and Taiwan. Chung Wai Yan believes that due to the strong economy, the market has adjusted its expectations for interest rate cuts to align more closely with the projections in the Federal Reserve's dot plot. US Treasury yields may stabilize around current levels. After the end of the fourth quarter earnings season, the US stock market is expected to trade within a narrow range, shifting focus from the "Big Seven Tech Giants" to a broader market and paying closer attention to upcoming economic data and Federal Open Market Committee meetings. Chung Wai Yan pointed out that Hong Kong's Budget has removed all restrictions on the real estate market that have been in place for the past 10 years and has lowered the requirements for down payments on mortgages, which will help stabilize the market. However, due to weak market sentiment, the recovery will proceed slowly. Regarding A-shares, with support from the national team entering the market (although the pace has slowed over the past two months), along with stricter restrictions on quantitative funds and the prohibition of short-selling in certain areas, the A-share market has stabilized. Inflows of foreign capital are also beginning to rise, company profits are bottoming out, and momentum and macroeconomic data are improving.
Global X: US CPI data in February exceeds expectations, reducing the likelihood of an interest rate cut in June.
Fidelity International: Technology stocks are fundamentally good and maintain a long-term positive view on AI-related industries.
