The Private Capital Index Series is based on a composition of private capital funds with a total market value of over $11 trillion, using MSCI's transparent methodology and rigorously validated data. The series consists of 130 indexes covering private equity, private credit, private real estate, private infrastructure, and private natural resources, not only complementing MSCI's existing over 80 physical asset fund and real estate indexes, but also providing investors with a comprehensive view to understand the risk categories of the global private capital market and private physical asset investments. With increasing interest from investors in the private capital market, obtaining high-quality data and using uniform standards to measure the performance of private capital funds and portfolios is crucial for making clear investment decisions.
